What Is an All-in-One Home Gym?ย
An all-in-one home gym is a piece of equipment or a multifunctional machine you can purchase for your home. With an all-in-one home gym machine, you can perform multiple exercises to get a full-body workout without going to a gym. You can find multifunctional home gyms in various shapes and sizes and with varying attachments.ย ย
Benefits of All-in-One Home Gymsย
There are lots of advantages to purchasing your exercise equipment all-in-one for your home, including:ย
- They Offer Easier Access to Workoutsย
- Theyโre Versatile and Customizableย
- They Can Be Low Impactย
They Offer Easier Access to Workoutsย
All-in-one home gyms offer a convenient way to work out. They allow you to perform various exercises without leaving your house and avoid waiting for equipment at a public gym. If you wish, you can walk downstairs in the morning and do a quick workout in your pajamas!ย
Theyโre ideal for people of all ages and abilities and take up less space than multiple fitness machines or full squat racks with all the weight plates, so they are great when building a home gym with limited space.ย
Theyโre Versatile and Customizableย
All-in-one workout machines are multifunctional; you can customize them to suit your workout needs and preferences. Theyโre available in a versatile range of sizes and shapes, and you can purchase different attachments to expand your home gym setup for a wider range of workouts.ย
Most home gyms enable you to target upper body and lower body muscles for fully customized workouts. You don't need to purchase a squat rack, power rack, cable machine, and cable attachments separately when youโve got everything you need in a single piece of equipment.ย
They Can Be Low Impactย
Home gyms can be low-impact if you want them to be. You can practice squats and deadlifts with low weight or use the cable pulley to target your muscles less stressfully on your joints than using free weights or cardio machines.ย

1. Best Overall –ย Rogue Fitness Combo Rack
Rating: 4/5ย
Specificationsย
- Estimated Price: $3000
- Dimenions: 80.25 ” x 78 ” x 77.25 ”ย
- Product Weight: 505 lbsย
Prosย
- 7 gauge steel constructionย ย
- Adjustable benchย
- IPF competition certifiedย
Consย
- Weight plates not includedย
I highly recommend the Rogue Fitness Combo Rack if youโre a powerlifter. Itโs IPF competition-certified and can hold up to 1,000 lbs, making it perfect for powerlifting training.ย
This combo rack has drop-in spotter arms and a removable bench, so you can practice heavy bench presses or squats. Thereโs a diamond tread platform for your relative or friend to stand on if you need a spotter for heavy lifts, and I found this to be a really helpful addition that made this product stand out to me.
This product has quite a high price tag, and youโll need to purchase weight plates separately, which will add to your total cost. However, itโs worth the investment if youโre searching for a top-of-the-line powerlifting-specific home gym.
Check out the RitFit though, if youโre looking for a more budget model.ย
2. Budget Pick –ย TRX GO System
Rating: 4/5ย
Specificationsย
- Estimated Price: $100 – $150
- Door anchor
- Suspension anchor
- Free trial to TRX Training Clubยฎ
- Free shipping
- 2-year warranty
Prosย
- Lightweight and portableย
- Can use indoors or outdoorsย
- Comes with carrier bagย
Consย
- Low capacity for progressive overloadย
The TRX is unlike anything else on the list, but will work great for an all-in-one home gym. It's also about 80% cheaper than most of the other models.
TRX Go is an effective tool for functional bodyweight workouts. If youโre not too fussed about lifting heavy weights and are more focused on building core strength, stability, and functionality, this TRX Go System will suffice for your home gym. I enjoyed using this equipment but felt like something was missing, as I enjoy lifting heavy and feeling strong.
This suspension trainer is suitable for people of all abilities, and itโs so light and portable that you can easily transport it to your garden or the local park for outdoor workouts. It also comes with a mesh bag, so you wonโt need to search for a suitable carrier if transporting your TRX. You can set it up in seconds, and the locking loop keeps the straps in place for safe and secure workouts.ย
The adjustable straps and food stirrups make finding a comfortable position in any exercise easy. Of course, there are limitations with a TRX, and the capacity for progressive overload is relatively low because youโre primarily using your body weight. Although you can still build muscle and strength with a TRX, it wonโt be your first choice as a powerlifter.

3. Compact Pick –ย REP Fitness FT-3000 Compact Trainer
Rating: 4.5/5ย
Specificationsย
- Price: $1800
$2000(10% off) - Dimension: 78 ” x 53 ” x 34 ”ย
- Product Weight: 770 lbsย
- Max Usable Weight Per Side: 90 lbs
- Cable Travel Length: 76.3″
Prosย
-
- Lifetime warrantyย ย
- Sturdy and durable constructionย
- Relatively small footprintย ย
Consย
-
- Difficult setupย
The best all-in-one home gym winner is the REP Fitness FT-3000 Compact Trainer. I think it can give the best workout in the smallest space.ย
This all-in-one trainer offers a durable and versatile machine. If your trainer gets damaged or one of the components breaks, youโre covered with a lifetime warranty, and itโs nice to have extra security.ย
I love that it is built from thick steel, making it sturdy and durable. The double cable pulley system is smooth and seamless, reaching a maximum of 187 lbs. While I canโt get a full powerlifting workout from the gym, I can get a great upper-body workout. If you have more space, read on to some larger options below with more resistance.
There are convenient pegs for easy storage of your cable attachments and workout demos on the machine's backboard for you to follow.ย
The only downside I could find with this product was that it is difficult to set up. Iโm not very handy, and it took 6 hours for me to get it right. However, I have heard of clients assembling it in 2 hours.ย
Overall, if space is an issue, this is one of the best home gym machines you can buy.ย
4. Best for Beginners –ย RitFit Fundamental Home Gym Package
Rating: 4/5ย
Specificationsย
-
- 84.6 โ x 52 โ x 43.7 โย
- 1000 lbs
Prosย
-
- Available in four colorsย
- Highly versatileย
- Weight plates includedย ย
Consย
-
- Heavy and tallย
I recommend the RitFit Fundamental Budget Home Gym Package to those of you whose main priority is finding a budget-friendly all-in-one trainer for your home. Although itโs not the cheapest option on the market, itโs the most affordable home gym with a power rack and adjustable bench.ย
The frame is available in four colors (grey, orange, blue, and black), all of which come with weight plates totaling 100 lbs, so you can progressively overload your exercises. With a sturdy power rack, adjustable bench, and weight plates, you can enjoy a variety of compound lifts to gain strength and grow muscle.ย
Youโll need a relatively large space in your home to set up this RitFit training machine, and itโs very heavy, so you might need a helping hand to assemble it. However, itโs ideal for heavy squats, bench press, and deadlifts.
5. Most Multifunctional –ย REP Fitness FT-5000 2.0 Functional Trainer
Rating: 4.5/5ย
Specificationsย
-
- Estimated Price: $2500
- Dimensions: 85.5 โ x 68 โ x 33 โย
- Product Weight: 875 lbsย
- Max Usable Weight Per Side: 112 lbs
- Cable Travel Length: 86″
Prosย
-
- Multiple grips and attachmentsย
- 11 gauge steel frameย ย
- Dual weight stacks totaling 448 lbsย
Consย
-
- Lack of adequate assembly instructionsย ย
I found the Rogue Fitness FT-5000 2.0 Functional Trainer durable and sturdy to use, even with heavier loads. It comprises a solid 11 gauge steel frame with high-quality attachments (two polymer D-handles). There are storage pegs for the attachments and a mountable diagram that displays 12 different exercises that you can do on the trainer. I used these examples to inspire me to switch up my workouts and try something different.
Although the assembly process was difficult and finicky (largely due to the lack of detailed instructions in the manual), youโre good to go once youโve set the machine up in your home. I recommend getting a DIY-savvy friend to help you set up this machine in your home gym.
This FT-5000 2.0 model has dual weight stacks that reach an impressive 448 lbs in total, so you can practice various exercises using decently heavy weights. You could perform cable variations of squats and deadlifts, and youโll be able to do seated cable flyes to emulate the bench press. The cable adjusts using a standard pin mechanism that clicks into place for extra safety.ย
6. Premium Pick –ย Force USA G15 All-in-One Trainer
Rating: 4.5/5ย
Specificationsย
-
- Price: $5500
$7000(21% off) - Dimensions: 79.5 ” x 53 ” x 87.5 ”ย
- Product Weight: 992 lbs
- Max Usable Weight: 772 lbsย
- Price: $5500
Pros
-
- Highly versatileย
- 18 functional attachments includedย
- 60 adjustment points on the uprightsย ย
Consย
-
- Expensiveย ย
Those of you with a higher budget should consider the Force USA G15 All-in-One Trainer. Although this product comes at a premium cost, its price tag is reflected in its quality, and I enjoyed using this machine a lot.
Itโs a highly versatile trainer with 18 different attachments and 60 different adjustment points on the cable uprights that enable you to perform various upper-body and lower-body exercises. I love that it includes a power rack, functional trainer, smith machine, chin-up station, dip station, lat pulldown bar, leg curl attachment, and more, as this wide range of equipment enabled me to perform different exercises in every workout.
The weight stacks go up in 2.5 lbs increments, which enables you to progressively overload at a steady pace (a lot of all-in-one home gyms use increments of 10 lbs). The maximum user height is 7 feet too, so if youโre a tall lifter, you wonโt struggle to use the machine.ย
The obvious drawback to this all-in-one trainer is its high price. Itโs the most expensive option on this list and sits around the $6,000 mark (over double the Rogue Fitness Combo Rack). However, if youโve got the budget, you wonโt be disappointed with this Force USA G15 All-in-One Trainer.ย
7. Most Customizable –ย REP Fitness Ares Builder
Rating: 4.5/5ย
Specificationsย
-
- Price: $2800
- Dimensions: 96 ” x 80 ” x 72 ”ย
- Product Weight: 965 lbsย
- Weight Capacity: 450 lbs
Prosย
-
- Smooth cable pulleysย
- Compatible with a variety of attachmentsย
- Sturdy and durable constructionย
Cons
-
- Cheap and flimsy handle attachmentsย
Rogue Fitness is known for its high-quality fitness equipment, and the Ares Builder is up there with one of the best products. Itโs a customizable home gym that is lightweight, compact, and sturdy.ย
You can customize the Ares Builder to create the perfect home gym for your needs and wants. Customizable options include:ย ย
-
- Configuration (Ares, Ares and Rack, or Ares and Storage)ย
-
- The rack height (80 โ or 93 โ)ย
-
- The weight stack (210 lbs or 310 lbs)ย
-
- Cable upright color (black, red, blue, silver, grey, or white)ย
-
- Series (4000 or 5000)ย
-
- Style (4 post or 6 post)ย
-
- J-Cups (standard, round sandwich, lowered, or flat sandwich)ย
It has dual weight stacks totaling 260 lbs each (or 310 lbs if you decide to upgrade), so you can perform both bilateral and unilateral movements. The cables increase in increments of 2.5 lbs for easy progression in your lifts, and you can perform cable squats and deadlifts using this all-in-one machine.
Thereโs a unique patented design along the cable uprights and smooth 180-degree swivel mechanisms, enabling you to adjust the cable pulley positions seamlessly. I found the cable handles to be flimsy and low in quality, so I donโt expect them to last very long. However, cable handles are inexpensive so you can always purchase new handles if your original ones break.ย
8. Best for Squats –ย SML-2 Rogue Fitness 90″ Monster Lite Squat Stand
Rating: 4/5ย
Specificationsย
-
- Price: $445
- Dimensions: 92.25 ” x 49 ” x 48 ”ย
- Product Weight: 157 lbsย
- Weight Capacity: +1000 lbs
Prosย
-
- Relatively small footprintย ย
- Ideal for squats, bench presses, and pull-upsย
- Heavy gauge steel constructionย ย
Consย
-
- Less versatile than other optionsย
The SML-2 Rogue Fitness 90″ Monster Lite Squat Stand is the perfect choice if you are focused on improving your squats. It comprises a steel frame that is sturdy and durable. It weighs just 166 lbs, so itโs easy to transport and set up. Despite its light weight, it can support 1,000 lbs, so you can practice heavy squats and deadlifts for maximum gains. If you also have an adjustable gym bench, you can perform bench press too.
You can get either a โskinnyโ or โfatโ pull-up bar to attach to your squat rack for pull-ups, and you can loop resistance bands around the pull-up bar for pull downs and triceps exercises. I used the skinny bar, as I only have small hands, but the wider-diameter bar will be better for those with larger hands.
Although the pull-up bar offers extra versatility in my workouts by enabling me to perform upper-body exercises alongside squats, there were still limitations to what I could do with this squat rack. It doesnโt come with a bench, cable pulleys, weight stacks, or attachments, so itโs unsuitable if you want a complete all-in-one home gym.ย ย ย ย
9. Best Cable Machine –ย Titan Fitness Functional Trainer
Rating: 4.5/5ย
Specificationsย
-
- Price: $2375
$2500(5% off) - Dimensions: 82 โ x 64 โ x 49 โย
- Product Weight: 672 lbsย
- Full Weight Stack: 200 lbs
- Price: $2375
Prosย
-
- Solid steel and black powder constructionย
- Comes with a variety of attachmentsย
- Quick-adjust pull-pins for over 1,000 positionsย ย
Consย
-
- Delivery service could be betterย
You can perform over 1,000 different exercises with the Titan Fitness Functional Trainer, including strength, explosive, and cardio movements. Itโs an all-in-one training machine with two 200-lb weight stacks attached to tall cable uprights with smooth fiberglass-reinforced pulleys. The dual-weight stacks were comparable to the REP Fitness Ares Builder and felt very similar to use.
Youโll receive a range of attachments as part of your purchase, including a short bar, long bar, ankle strap, dual stirrup handles, rope handles, single D-handles, and double D-handles. I tried using each of these attachments within my workouts, and I found them helpful to target each muscle in unique ways and find comfortable grips. The backboard has six hooks for easy storage of the attachments, so I could keep my home gym nice and tidy.
This all-in-one multifunctional trainer has a sleek black and silver design and a black powder coating for extra protection and durability. It has rubber feet to protect your floors too.ย
The downside of this product was the delivery service. Although I found the service okay, many online reviews complained about missing parts, damaged products, or slow delivery. If you have any issues with your delivery, contact Titan Fitness directly; they should be able to resolve any problems.ย
10. Lightweight Pick –ย Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym
Rating: 4.5/5ย
Specificationsย
-
- Price Range: $1550 – $1650
- Dimensions: 82 โ x 53 โ x 49 โย
- Product Weight: 220 lbsย
- Max Resistance: 210 lbs
Prosย
-
- Suitable for a wide variety of exercisesย
- Seven free trainer-built workoutsย
- Ergonomic designย
Consย
-
- No dual weight stackย
If choosing a home gym thatโs lightweight and portable is your top priority, the Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym is a great choice. It weighs just 185 lbs and has a relatively small footprint compared to larger multifunctional home gyms.ย ย ย
It has an ergonomic design with an adjustable seat and shoulder harness, making it easy to find a comfortable position with every exercise. There isnโt a dual-weight stack with this trainer, which may limit the maximum weight that you can lift.ย
However, there is a 210-lb Power Rod, two adjustable cable pulleys, a pull-down bar, and a leg extension attachment to perform chest flyes, bicep curls, overhead presses, pull-downs, and leg extensions. There are seven free workouts created by fitness professionals that you can follow if you want some workout inspiration. Still, I decided not to follow these and did my usual workouts.
11. Most Versatile – Force USA X20 Pro
Rating: 4.5/5ย
Specificationsย
-
- Price: $4250
$6000(29% off)ย - Dimensions: 91 โ x 86.5 โ x 70 โย
- Product Weight: 992 lbsย
- Price: $4250
Prosย
-
- Pin and plate loaded machineย
- 17 attachments includedย
- 11-gauge stainless steel uprightsย
Consย
-
- Heavy and large footprintย ย
The Force USA X20 Pro is one of the best on the market, in my opinion. So much so that I almost awarded it first place as the overall best all-in-one home gym. It only loses points for its heavy weight of 992 lbs and large footprint of 91 x 86.5 x 70 inches.ย
However, if youโve got space in your home for a larger trainer, I highly recommend the X20 Pro. It has a solid, sturdy power rack, two 289-lb weight stacks, and heavy-duty roller pulleys with 34 adjustment points.ย
Youโll receive a total of 17 different cable attachments with your purchase, including a landmine, cable handles, and a dip bar. It also comes with two chin-up bars (straight and multi-grip), so you wonโt struggle to find a comfortable grip, whether using an overhand, underhand, narrow, or wide grip. You can upgrade your X20 Pro to include three extra workout stations, our functional attachments, four storage shelves, and a TV mount.ย
The pin and plate-loaded unit enables you to perform over 400 different exercises from the comfort of your home, and the frame has flip-down safety bars for extra protection during heavy lifts.ย
12. Most Foldable – Bowflex PR1000 Home Gym
Rating: 4/5ย
Specificationsย
- Price Range: $550 – $650
$800(25% off) - Dimensions: 84″ x 38″ x 82″
- Max Resistance: +200 lbs
Prosย
-
- Ideal for beginnersย
- Media rack includedย
- Foldable design for easy and space-efficient storageย
Consย
-
- No power rack or squat rackย
If youโre searching for an all-in-one home gym that you can store away when youโre not using it, the Bowflex PR1000 Home Gym will be right up your street. I found it really easy to set up and even easier to fold away, and I loved that I had the extra space in my room when I wasnโt working out.ย
This multifunctional trainer has double cable handles, a sliding seat, a rowing station, and a leg extension attachment. As with the Bowflex Xceed Home Gym and the Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym, you wonโt be able to do squats, deadlifts, or bench presses using this functional home gym. Youโd need extra equipment for these exercises, which would cost you more money and space.
Thereโs a media rack that you can use to stream your favorite programs or listen to music while you work out. You can follow one of the seven trainer-led exercise routines with this machine if you want some workout inspiration.
13. Best for Upper Body – Bowflex Xceed Home Gymย
Rating: 4/5ย
Specifications ย
-
- Price Range: $650 – $750
$1000(30% off)ย ย - Dimensions: 82 โ x 53 โ x 49 โย
- Product Weight: 310 lbs
- Max Resistance: 210 lbs
- Price Range: $650 – $750
Prosย
-
- Suitable for a wide range of exercisesย
- Leg extension attachment availableย
- Can upgrade from 210 lbs resistance to 310 lbsย
Consย
-
- Limited lower body exercisesย
Weighing just 310 lbs and measuring 82 x 53 x 49 inches, the Bowflex Xceed Home Gym is a compact, lightweight, all-in-one trainer that enables you to exercise at home, even in tight spaces.ย
Despite being lightweight, the heavy-duty steel frame keeps the trainer stable and upright, so you donโt need to worry about losing balance during workouts. You can select a resistance between 5 lbs and 210 lbs to suit your needs and upgrade the resistance to 310 lbs.ย
Although there is a leg extension and leg curl attachment that you can use with this machine, I didnโt find it great for lower-body workouts. You canโt perform squats or deadlifts using the product, just like you canโt with the Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym, so youโd need additional equipment for powerlifting practice. Itโs much better suited to upper body-focused workouts, with a pulley system, ab training strap, comfortable seat, and lat pull-down bar.ย
This home gym dropped in our list because of a lack of availability.
Why You Should Trust PowerliftingTechniqueย
At PowerliftingTechnique, we comprise a team of powerlifting athletes and coaches, certified personal trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, and fitness enthusiasts. Together, we have decades of combined experience in the industry.ย
Weโve tested a wide range of fitness products and gym equipment from the most well-known and well-loved fitness equipment brands in the industry to create in-depth review articles. We looked at each all-in-one trainer to identify whatโs great about them and how they compare to other top-of-the-line all-in-one home gym machines.ย
How We Reviewed the All-In-One Home Gymsย
There are so many all-in-one home trainers out there, and Iโve tried and tested a wide selection of products from various fitness brands to identify which are the best on the market.ย
I considered several factors when testing each multi-purpose workout machine, including price, versatility, size and compactness, ease of storage, and additional equipment to purchase to expand your home gym setup.ย
Buying Guide: What To Look For in an All-In-One Home Gymย
When searching for the best all-in-one gym equipment, look out for the following things:ย
-
- Priceย
-
- Quality of the Materials and Constructionย ย
-
- Your Workout Goalsย
-
- Size and Compactnessย
-
- Versatilityย
Priceย
The best all-in-one home gym machine is one that offers a high level of quality for an affordable price. You can pay anything from $300 to $6,000, but you usually get what you pay for. Higher prices usually mean better-quality materials, a more durable construction, and a wider range of workout options.ย
Consider your budget, needs, and preferences to find the best all-in-one trainer that aligns with your budget and workout goals. You should also consider whether a home gym will save you money in the long run based on the costs of your gym membership and traveling to and from the gym.ย
Quality of the Materials and Constructionย
All-in-one home gyms are costly, but repairing and replacing damaged components is even more expensive. Youโll want to ensure that your home gym is made from durable, solid materials that can withstand years of frequent use.ย
The best all-in-one home gyms are made of heavy-duty steel and solid rubber. Youโll find the construction details on the product pages of each home gym in this article, and Iโve also included this information in the comparison table at the start.ย
Your Workout Goalsย
Youโll need to consider your workout goals before purchasing a multifunctional home gym. An all-in-one home gym may be enough to gain strength in the main three lifts (squats, deadlifts, and bench presses).ย ย
However, you might need a more specialized machine to target and build a particular muscle group. Youโre better off with a standard power rack, squat rack, barbell, weight plates, and dumbbells if youโre a powerlifter and want to use heavy weights to progressively overload over time.ย ย ย
Size and Compactnessย
The size of an all-in-one home workout machine is one of the main factors to consider. You need to look at the equipment measurements and the size of your workout area at home (including floor space and ceiling height).ย
If youโve got a relatively tight space and a small home gym setup, equipment with a small footprint is best, but remember that youโll need enough space around the equipment to work out safely without banging your head or elbows! If you have plenty of space, size might not be as much of a concern when choosing a multifunctional home gym.ย
Versatilityย
Home gyms need to be versatile if youโre going to get the most out of them. They should offer the ability for you to perform a variety of exercises for effective strength training workouts.ย
The more versatile your all-in-one home gym is, the better. You won't need to purchase several pieces of gym equipment when you have a versatile home gym that serves multiple purposes.ย
How Do All-In-One Home Gyms Compare to Multiple Machines?ย
All-in-one home gyms usually enable you to perform the main compound movements, like squats, deadlifts, and bench presses. You can purchase add-ons too, which enable you to practice additional exercises.ย
However, there are limitations to getting your gym equipment all in one as opposed to purchasing multiple machines. You wonโt be able to perform certain exercises with a multifunctional trainer and need a specific machine instead.ย
With that being said, most people donโt have the room to store multiple machines at home. This is where having all-in-one gym equipment can be helpful, as itโll be more compact and cheaper to purchase than several different machines.ย
