I custom-ordered 7 meals through Trifecta, specifically looking for high-protein options. My Trifecta nutrition review will consist of the following meals:
- Salmon with risotto with broccoli, peas, and spinach
- Boneless pork chop with cauliflower and sweet curry
- Beef skillet with black beans and guacamole
- Texas-inspired beef skillet with fire-roasted tomatoes, sweet potatoes, and chili spice blend
- Piri-piri-inspired chicken with sweet potatoes and cauliflower
- White meat chicken with rice and tomatillos
- Spicy green chili chicken with brown rice, corn, poblano peppers
Salmon with risotto with broccoli, peas, and spinach: This meal was my absolute favorite! The flavor of this dish and the amount of salmon provided make it an ideal pick for those who want ingredients for recovery and exercise preparation. The risotto of this dish is what carried the flavor to maximize this meal as my number one choice. There was even a decent amount of salmon in this dish as well.
This is a great meal for lifters, especially strength-based athletes.
Boneless pork chop with cauliflower and sweety curry: This meal was a pleasant surprise as the sweet curry was not as aggressive as I thought it would be, making it an enjoyable flavor to merge with the boneless pork chop of this meal. The boneless pork chop was also a decent size and was not dried out as other pieces of pork I have experienced. Heating this dish was not hard, and it is a great recipe for a well-balanced meal for all athletes.
Beef skillet with black beans and guacamole: This meal had great flavor, but I believe this was one of the meals I was most worried about reheating as the guacamole of this dish needed to be separated before reheating. For preparation, I needed to make sure my meal was thawed, and I moved the ingredients into a glass dish to put in the oven and put the guacamole aside, not to reheat it with my meal. The beef in this meal was limited and needed much more than was provided. Once you get past some of the meal preparation processes and the flavors, it is a good dish.
Texas-inspired beef skillet with fire-roasted tomatoes, sweet potatoes, and chili spice blend: This meal was not my favorite. The intensity of the spices caused the flavor to have a chalk-like texture, and it was an overwhelming taste that made it tough to consume. Due to the protein level and ingredient choice, I would not recommend this meal before a workout but rather a post-workout meal, especially for strength-based athletes.
Piri-piri-inspired chicken with sweet potatoes and cauliflower: I wasnโt sure how to anticipate this meal. However, the chicken was delicious and hydrated, and the merge of flavors and vegetables was so tasty and light. This meal didnโt weigh me down and kept me satisfied. I would recommend this meal for those who need a lighter meal, as the sweet potatoes and cauliflower were easy to digest.
White meat chicken with rice and tomatillos: This meal had some great flavor potential but was a bit bland and didnโt have much taste. The chicken was dry and didnโt allow the meal to seem maximized in flavor. This was my least favorite meal of this delivery. I used more seasoning and sauces from home to enhance this meal.
Spicy green chili chicken with brown rice, corn, and poblano peppers: This meal was a little bit bland but still provided a good base in taste. With salt, pepper, and sauces, it was enhanced to my standards. Again, it was a good meal but not one of my top picks from this batch of meals.

This price point seems high, especially compared to the price of eating out currently.ย I do not believe this food service will save you money.
